Founded in 2011 as an Independent International School, the English School of Mongolia is now accredited by Cambridge Examinations and awarded an IB World School Status in 2015 for the Diploma Programme and looking into the Primary Years Programme (PYP) as a future path to take. It’s a BSO school, also the only FOBISIA School in Mongolia.
The preschool and the Junior School follow the Cambridge international curricula in the frameworks of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years programme (PYP). The secondary school follows the Cambridge international curriculum with the IB Diploma programme being the offer for the final two years at school. The holistic curriculum allows the ESM to outstand with the quality education in provides to its students. With the rigorous, research and inquiry based curriculum, ESM sees its teachers, students and leaders in the core of the programme. As a result, students become active, caring, lifelong learners who demonstrate respect for themselves and others and have the capacity to participate in the world around them. The English School of Mongolia aims at delivering holistic education while focusing on celebrating cultural and personal values. The successful candidate for ESM teacher position will have:
- Relevant University qualifications (e.g. Bachelor of Education with a designation in the subject to be taught)
- 2+ years of exemplary teaching experience in the classroom
- Knowledge and practice of subject matter, curriculum planning, and assessment practices,
- Proven ability to communicate in a professional manner with children, parents, staff and the general public
- Proven ability to follow organizational policies and procedures in an appropriate and timely manner
- Strong organization and time management skills
- An interest and desire in being a part of an innovative co-curricular experience for ESM students
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment where teachers demonstrate the principles of inquiry-based decision-making with other teachers, staff at all levels, and with the Head of School
- Technological acumen and experience utilizing hardware, software essentials in a classroom environment, and social media
- Experience in teaching with inquiry based approach is an asset
- IB programme experience is preferable
- Two recommendation letters from the recent employers
- National work permit regulations stipulate that applicants must be no older than 50.

Welcome to ESM
The English School of Mongolia is accredited by Penta International and British School Overseas standards and is the only FOBISIA (Federation of British International Schools in Asia) School in Mongolia.
The English School of Mongolia was founded in 2011 and is an Independent International School, accredited by Cambridge Examinations in the Academic Year 2012-2013 and was awarded an IB World Status in May 2015. All Subjects are conducted in English at ESM with over 730 students, 33 foreign teachers, 35 Mongolian teachers, 19 teaching assistants, 21 staff members and 23 household workers. We are offering a wide range of clubs after school such as Asian and European languages, Cultural Activates including instrumental teaching in Music, Sports on a wide platform from Taekwondo to Fencing and Archery! Also we are offering the Duke of Edinburgh Course to Students as well. But the best way of finding out about ESM is to visit us.
