Living in Albania is cheap. In fact, it is one of the cheapest places to reside in Europe. According to, almost every product sells for less money in Albania as compared to its European counterparts. This includes low prices for such goods and services as household accommodations, transport, groceries, food, alcohol, Internet, furniture and appliances, healthcare, restaurants and recreation and culture. The western expat should not only be able to live comfortably in Albania but save money as well.

The climate of Albania is mild and temperate with cool, cloudy, wet winters and hot, clear and dry summers. On average, the warmest months are July and August. Most rainfall (rainy season) is seen in January, February, October, November and December. On average, the warmest month is August where temperatures can range from 24 to 36 degrees Celsius. The coldest month is January and the temperatures drop to an average of 4 degrees. December is the wettest month.July is the driest month.
